The Representation of Doctoral Students (DoV) is a representation elected by PhD students from all departments and currently consists of 21 members. We are firmly anchored in the Higher Education Act of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and are thus an official body of the University of Mainz. As DoV, we have a voice in various committees of the university, in particular the Senate, various Senate committees and the departmental councils. Furthermore, we work closely with the Gutenberg Nachwuchskolleg (GNK). Since September 2023, we have been a founding member of a nationwide association of doctoral student representatives, the Bundesverband Promovierende.
As a representative body, we are made up of doctoral students from all departments, so that each department has its "direct line" to the DoV. If you would like to contact your representative, you will find all the information you need on the Department representatives subpages.
As DoV, we accompany some projects within the university and discuss them thoroughly. If you want to learn more about them, click here.
We have aroused your interest, you have questions or impulses? Please feel free to contact our speakers or representatives of your department.
